Top 5 Cryptocurrency Apps on Android in Central America for Q4 2022

The fourth quarter of 2022 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top 5 cryptocurrency apps on the Android platform in Central America. Here’s an overview based on data from Sensor Tower.

Bitso experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at around 27K and peaking at nearly 45.7K by the end of December. Active users witnessed a decrease from approximately 153.7K to 135.2K over the quarter.

Chivo Wallet had steady weekly downloads initially, ranging from 10.8K to 15.6K, but saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, falling to around 6.1K. Active users remained relatively stable, maintaining numbers between 421.9K and 490.2K throughout the period.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto saw a significant drop in weekly downloads, starting from 14.1K and decreasing to 4.2K by the end of December. Active users also declined from 204.5K to 200K over the same period.

Cryptomania —Trading Simulator showed a remarkable increase in weekly downloads mid-quarter, peaking at 15.5K, before stabilizing around 6.2K by the end of December. Weekly revenue saw a gradual rise, reaching approximately $148. Active users varied but ended the quarter with a slight increase, from about 12.3K to 20.1K.

Sweat Wallet observed a peak in weekly downloads at 9.7K in early October but dropped to around 1.5K by the end of December. Active users, however, saw a consistent increase, ending the quarter at about 22.5K.
